When you think feminism hasn't changed much...look here

When you think feminism hasn't changed much...look here

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

There are many times when we may hear/think feminism has failed. However take a look at where we have come from. Your blood should boil. There is still work to be done.

Love it when I'm writing and it all comes together so I have a strong woman's character summed up in a few extraordinary words.

Give someone your time

Give someone your time

Sometimes life throws us lots of curve balls. When it feels like we have no more energy left to swing at them and it all gets too much - it’s the simple things in life that can give us some respite and hope that tomorrow will be a better day.

The Truth on Mother's Day

The Truth on Mother's Day

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

DON’T GET ME STARTED ON… the people who think it shouldn’t be called Mother’s Day and should be appreciation day or some other shit like that. All because of the small percentage of people out of the 7.7 billion world’s population who may not have a mother in the traditional sense or who’s mother is no longer with them. I think most people are mature enough to understand they celebrate it how they want and that’s there is no hard and fast rule to how or who you celebrate Mother’s with or for.

How Did We Survive?

How Did We Survive?

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

How did we survive these things: In short we GOT DIRTY. We built things out of discarded boxes, etc, we found around home, go-carts, boats, came to life. WE USED IMAGINATION and it didn’t come out of a box and wasn’t always brand new. We; God forbid; invented games with sticks and balls and although we knew about it, no one EVER lost an eye! We broke bones, got scratches, gravel rashes when we fell-down, ran into trees and bushes, we got hurt. Our parents told us it served us right for acting like an idiot. WE WERE ALLOWED to make mistakes. WE learnt THAT DOING STUPID THINGS HAD CONSEQUENCES. It limited the number of dumb and dumber things we did when we got older. If we did get hurt, we didn’t blame anyone else. There were no lawsuits where people sued someone else. HOW DID WE SURVIVE!

Inspiring words for women kicking-ass through the generations

Inspiring words for women kicking-ass through the generations

Observations of a Middle-Aged Dragon with a Tattoo:

She doesn't have to choose between being gentle or fierce. Both exist in Nature and both exist in her. That's okay. She'll know when to nourish them both and when applicable; use each unapologetically. Steve Maraboli

How sad does your life have to be?

How sad does your life have to be?

Observations of a Middle-Aged Tattoo:

SO I ASK AGAIN, how sad does your life have to be? Just because you feel bad, sad, jealous, or put quite simply you’re a dickhead; it doesn’t give you any right. ONLY until you can go out there and produce something better; maybe then you can make a small comment. Dare you to… you won't because you're gutless. Oh and by the way here are some other women at work: All top of their chosen field. What are you top of?
